Οι Mani Deum επιστρέφουν στην Θεσσαλονίκη και στο αγαπημένο τους Silver Dollar Bar για ένα ηλεκτρικό σετ με διάρκεια και κομμάτια από όλη τους την δισκογραφία…

 

MANI DEUM: 

”When Beauty Ends”, the band’s latest album, was nominated as one of the best Greek albums for 2014. Mani Deum based in Athens Greece were formed in 2006. Their ”infected folk n’ roll” sound – as they prefer to call it – dark, mesmerising and yet sharp and evoquing, evolved after their first three diy cd singles. In 2009 they release the first EP ”Five Infected Blessings” under Dead Scarlet Records label. Under continuous experimentations, ”It’s a major need for us to never cease experimenting and exploring soundwise” as they say, the band releases in 2011 their first full length album LP ”Music For Your Local Church… Or Your Local Brothel”, incorporating more rather delicated instruments in their sound as theremin, grand piano, glockenspiel etc. The constant transformation of their overall style of music leads in 2014 to the band’s second LP ”When Beauty Ends” were they engage into more dark americana influences. The album receives great applause by both critics and public. ”A mesmeric conciliation that leaves one bereft and desponent – pass tthe bottle!” (Post-punk.com ). In fact fans support Mani Deum release the album through crowdfunding on Pledge Music reaching 105% goal succes during crisis time.

 

Since 2011, when they are voted as the best new act of the year at the 20th Wave Gothic Treffen Festival in Leipzig, Germany, Mani Deum have many participations in festivals and concerts. In the years 2007 to 2015, the band plays alongside And Also The Trees, Sad Lovers and Giants (2012 – co – headliners, Drop Dead Festival in Berlin ), Lene Lovich , Death In June, Backworld, My Brightest Diamond, Spiritual Front, Rome, Sieben, While Angels Watch, Paul Roland (twice, 2008 & 2012) , Jarboe, Josef Van Wissem (2015), Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio, The Great Park, Allerseelen, Vendemmian, Angel Olsen. Noumerous participations in compilations from all around the world ( p.ex: Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense , After The Sunset, NeoForm III and many more) and collaborations on recordings with various artists ( Matt Howden, Siva Six, Melentini ) are also in the band’s portfolio.

 

Mani Deum have several guest presentations on local (Rock Fm, Skai Radio, Mad Tv, Rockharadio etc) and abroad (Μick Mercer broadcast, Aural Apocalypse radio) radio and tv shows.
